Russian energy company Gazprom announced that it has decided not to reduce natural gas shipments to Moldova via Ukraine after the necessary payment for the held gas was made. In a written statement from the Russian energy company Gazprom, it was reminded that some of the natural gas sent to Moldova was kept in Ukraine.
In the statement, which was informed that the Moldovan side made the necessary payment for the gas in question to Gazprom, it was stated that it was decided not to reduce the natural gas shipments for this reason. In the statement, it was underlined that Moldova frequently violated its contractual obligations and Gazprom reserves the right to cease gas shipments altogether.
In a statement made by Gazprom on November 22, it was stated that some of the natural gas sent to Moldova remains in Ukraine, and if the situation continues, gas shipments through Ukraine will be reduced as of November 28.
