The monthly decrease in the population of the country that occupied Ukraine was recorded as a record. The previous record belonged to 2002, when an average of 57 thousand people a month left the country. The population of Russia, which was 146 million in 2001, had fallen to 145.3 million.

According to the Rosstat census, the population of Russia decreased by 430 thousand people in the January-May period to 145.1 million. When deaths are excluded from this number, it was emphasized that the population decrease was 355 thousand. According to the Russian service of the Moscow Times, the population loss of Russia is two in 2021; It has tripled in 2020.
