A Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the field of energy. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the EU Commission, met with President Ilham Aliyev in Azerbaijan, where she came to hold talks. After the meeting, Aliyev and Von der Leyen signed the Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding, which envisages the delivery of more Azerbaijani gas to Europe.
